Payroll software for CA firms: run each client’s month and hand over the files.
Turn payroll on for a client, add the employees and run the month. Provident fund, ESI, professional tax and tax on salary are worked out with the rates written down. You get the payslips and the files to upload. CA Bundals sends nothing to EPFO, ESIC or any other portal.
Each client’s month moves from draft to reviewed to locked.
Seven of the 30 apps are part of a payroll month
Payroll does the arithmetic. The others carry the dates, the papers and the client’s approval.
The month
PayrollEmployees, salary structures, the monthly run and every statutory working that comes out of it.ComplianceThe payment and return dates that follow from payroll, on the same calendar as every other date.TDSThe quarterly salary return and Form 16 dates for each client.Client PortalThe client approves the month and downloads the payslips.Set a client up once. After that it is a monthly run.
For each client you record the establishment’s registrations, the salary structure and the employees, each with a choice of tax regime. Every month you enter days of loss of pay, arrears and bonus, and the run works out earnings, deductions and net pay for each employee. A second person reviews it, and the month is locked.
- Provident fund with the wage-ceiling option, the pension and provident fund split, and the employer’s charges
- ESI for employees within the wage limit
- Professional tax for seven states, and tax on salary under either regime
Every rate, ceiling and slab is written down in the app so you can check it. Each is a default to verify against the notification in force.
The files come out ready. You upload them.
From a run you download what each office needs: payslips, a transfer file for the client’s bank, the ECR text file for the provident fund portal, the ESI sheet, a professional tax summary and the salary return working. Where a portal takes a file, CA Bundals makes the file. Where it does not, you get a sheet to key from.
- The payment and return dates that follow from payroll go into the Compliance calendar by themselves
- You record the acknowledgement after you upload
- Nothing leaves the product for a portal or a bank. Every upload is yours
The client approves the month from a phone.
A client whose payroll you run sees the month in the portal, approves it and downloads the payslips, signing in with a one-time code. For your own office, pick the firm in the entity switcher: partners lock the month, and each member of staff sees only their own payslips.
- The portal carries your firm’s name
- Your firm’s own payroll is visible to partners only
- The same engine and the same rates as for clients
